• The main ^Wonly developper doesn't work any more in GIS.
• Mapserver came into sarge
• I didn't find any good way to add mapserver php support into official packages :(

Agrogeomatic debian repository

New repository for Sarge

Changes between woody (29/10/2004) :

• Update all packages to new upstream version.
• Mapserver
  • php-mapscript rename to php4-mapscript.
  • php4-mapscript now depend of php4-cgi-mapscript, php4-cgi-mapscript is rebuild version of php4-cgi with regex = systen not php.
    It made for working with Php Mapscript, until the tread safe problems with php will be solve.
    You can use php4-mapscript with php4 as an apache module but it's not recomended (you may have random crash on heavy load).
  • Python binding is now available
  • New package mapserver-bin, a collection of utilitys, for using mapserver with the command line.
• Gdal Build with Jasper uuid (geojp2 support, rename from jasper-uuid to jasper-uuid-1.701.0)
  Note : you can use both official gdal or this one with mapserver.
  For using this version of gdal a this in your /etc/apt/preferences :

  Pin: release o=Agrogeomatic
  Pin-Priority: 900
  

• Postgis 0.9.0 build with Geos 2 (rename from geos to libgeos2 with a new dev package).

  AddHandler phtml-script .phtml
  Action phtml-script /cgi-bin/php4
  

  In /etc/apache/httpd.conf for linking php4 cgi to .phtml extension.
